Award of Bid Number P 12-01/02 for Network Connectivity
Devices and Related Services
The Superintendent recommends that the Board of Education accept as low bid and approve purchases as needed for Cisco network connectivity devices and services from Intelli-Tech (San Dimas), Cusato & Company (Malibu), Cisco Systems (Irvine), and Data Impressions (South Gate).
The District developed specifications and solicited bids for Cisco network connectivity devices (hubs, switches, interface cards, etc.) and services.

The recommended award is based on the lowest bid per item meeting technical specifications. This bid may be used by Glendale Unified School District and other school districts throughout California by virtue of its "piggyback" clause and may be extended for four (4) additional years by mutual consent of the District and vendor.

A bid was received from the factory-authorized distributor of the products.

Most items will be purchased from general, categorical and vocational education funds.
